Introduced in 2025 by founding member Brad Denning, the Pappas Invitational Grand Champion trophy is awarded annually to a participant who meets some unspecified criteria, which may or may not be connected to golf play or ability. In some cases, the award recipient may be determined even before the tournament begins.

The Dr. Sloane Most Valuable Guest (or Walk-On) Award
The Dr. Sloane Most Valuable Guest (or Walk-On) Award is bestowed upon a non-member guest (or walk-on) who seamlessly joins the group and gives Pappas the most shit (or otherwise makes game play more enjoyable). The MVG Award is named after the tournament's very first guest, Dr. Suellen Vickers, who is now also affectionally known as "Sloane."
The Pappas Invitational Grand Champion Trophy
2025 - Michael Pappas
The Pappas Invitational Grand Champion Trophy was awarded to Michael Pappas, who overcame illness, surgery, and hospitalization to attend the event. A donation of $5 was made to the Pleurisy Foundation of Greater Central Virginia in his name.
The Perry DeLuca Certificate of Merit
2025 - Graig Suvannavejh
The Perry DeLuca Certificate of Merit was presented to Graig Suvannavejh after his rental car shut down suddenly and he was left stranded in a Walmart parking lot in Georgetown, Delaware. With little help from Avis, Graig was finally "rescued" by a local tow truck and then had to travel almost three hours to BWI Airport to retrieve another rental car. Graig eventually made it back to New York City in the wee hours of the morning, and still was able to finalize and publish two analyst reports before the markets opened that day. Congratulations, Graig!
The Dr. Sloane Most Valuable Guest Award
2025 - Dr. Suellen "Sloane" Vickers
After yelling at Pappas for "air bitching" too much, Suellen Vickers was a shoe-in to win the award. Her stellar play, wonderful demeanor, and fantastic sense of humor were almost incidental at that point. Suellen is now a full member of the Pappas Invitational.
2025 - Redis - Runner-Up, Walk-On Category
There were several walk-ons over the weekend who could've easily won the runner-up designation, but it was Redis and his "Lithuanian Love Potion" who edged out the other qualified competitors.
